Protection that actually works

Bitdefender blocked 99.9% of malware samples in our testing — including ransomware, spyware, banking trojans, and zero-day exploits (threats that have never been seen before). The real-time shield monitors files as they are downloaded or opened, not just during scheduled scans. You'll never know it's working — and that's exactly the point.

The Anti-Ransomware layer is worth calling out specifically. It watches for the behaviour pattern ransomware uses — encrypting large numbers of files quickly — and kills the process before damage is done, then restores any files that were affected. In our test, it stopped a live ransomware sample within four seconds.

Bitdefender's first-year price is very competitive. The renewal is higher — typically 50–60% more than the introductory price — which is standard practice for antivirus companies but worth knowing.
